Sneakers and Sex offers a fresh and original look at relationships, focusing on the role that a passion for sneakers plays in the connection between them.
Meet Rafael (@SNEAK.ART.EL), a creative Brazilian illustrator who brings a burst of colors and sensations to life through his captivating and daring designs.
Rafael da Cruz Souza, also known as “Rafito,” was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and has been living in Spain for 8 years.
The theme of the exhibition is quite simple. “Sneakers and Sex” illustrates couples making love while still wearing sneakers. The artworks are about passion as well as impulse: they establish a connection between the pleasure of buying and the sexual act. Rafael wants the viewer to see how both sneakers and sex have evolved so drastically from their original purposes and are now used to drive consumerism.
The “Sneakers and Sex” exhibition contains 16 very exclusive pieces and will be available from July 18 to August 30 this year at the Ocean Drive Hotel in downtown Madrid.
At the opening, Rafael will be on-site to present the pieces with glasses of good cava and special raffles.
