Lorena Labandera (January 4, 1991, Caracas) has, after more than three decades living in Spain, become a true Madrilenian in every sense. From a young age, my life has been deeply intertwined with art, studying in various schools and painting academies. Throughout this journey, I discovered my passion for oil painting, a technique that allows me to authentically and deeply express what I wish to convey in each work.

Although my professional career has been focused on engineering, I have always sought to integrate creativity and design. Painting, however, has been a constant—a refuge and a form of personal connection. Due to various circumstances, there was a long period during which I distanced myself from painting, leaving a significant void. Returning to this artistic path has been a way to reconnect with myself and feel whole once again.

I have participated in several group exhibitions and now have the opportunity and honor of presenting this, my second solo exhibition. My style is characterized by its realistic and traditional approach, primarily focusing on portraits and the representation of the human body.

I do not aim to evoke specific emotions or convey concrete messages. My purpose is simpler: to bring art closer to everyone, inviting the viewer to identify with a scene or to wish to become part of it.
