Artist Bio
Cheerful and unexpected coloured pencil pop art, inspired by the good life and the things that help us live it!
Jordanna Ber is a Canadian born artist, who lives and works in sunny Barcelona, Spain. Her degree in Design led her on a professional path of creative roles, initially designing beauty and fashion spreads for magazines, as well as national billboards for well known brands such as Joe Fresh. A wild child at heart, she left the big city in 2016 and is now building her dream studio space from an old stone countryside villa in the Costa Brava.
At first glance, her coloured pencil pop art realism works appear almost photographic. It’s only upon stepping closer, that the eyes are able to see the pencil strokes and layered blending. Playing with scale and perspective on white backgrounds allows her curated and eye-catching subjects to come to life, jumping from the paper to pull you in. Each original piece takes between 80-200 hours of work.
