Artist Biography
Dino Cortiana was born in Milan in 1972, into a family of gallery owners. He grew up surrounded by modern art masterpieces by artists like De Chirico, De Pisis, Alighiero Boetti, and Guttuso, curated by his father, Bruno. From a young age, he was immersed in an artistic environment that nurtured his creative sensitivity.
The family home, located between Milan and Bergamo, near the Adda River, was the first setting for his artistic explorations. There, Dino discovered the evocative power of nature, a theme that has been a constant in his work. At the age of 14, he won his first painting contest, starting his path in the art world.
In 1997, at the age of 25, he began producing continuously. His art is a constant search for meaning, with solo exhibitions at the Adda Art Gallery in Bergamo (2001), the Russo Modern Art Gallery in Milan (2002), the exhibition space of the Sforzesco Castle in Milan, and Nour Space in Milan (2003). Despite his success, his artistic quest continued.
Between 2004 and 2008, Dino opened his first atelier, a large space where he produced over 200 works and organized 22 solo exhibitions. However, each work was a manifestation of his inner struggle.
From 2009 to 2018, Dino traveled through France, Spain, and South America, seeking new influences and perfecting his action painting technique. Each painting reflects a deep part of his being.
In 2018, Dino settled in Ibiza, finding in the island a new source of inspiration. Today, his works are permanently exhibited in his atelier in Playa d’En Bossa, a testament to his ongoing search for beauty and meaning.
