Customized LGTBI Playmobils YouAreClick Ocean Drive Barcelona (Barcelona) This work showcases key moments of LGTBIQ+ culture through customized characters, from Freddie Mercury, Village People, La Veneno, Spice Girls, Batman & Robin, to the present with the activist Rigoberta Bandini (Benidorm Fest 2022 “Ay mamá!”) and Nebulossa at Eurovision with her song “Zorra”, etc.Cris Àlvarez (@YouAreClick) was awarded as Breakthrough Artist at the OD Art Awards 2023. Her works have been exhibited so far between Barcelona and Madrid.Artist BioCris Álvarez was born in Sabadell in 1985. During her childhood, she was accompanied by Playmobil figures and a camera. She has always been fascinated by images and how to represent the world through small details, so she naturally felt drawn to photography.Her interest was cultivated during her teenage years, and she took multiple courses related to it. After completing her studies in early childhood education, fate led her to reconnect with her inseparable 7.5-centimeter dolls, transitioning from playing with them to customizing them.Thus, mixing all her passions (music, cinema, series, football, art, photography, Playmobil, and some activism), she dedicates part of her time creating famous, historical characters, family, friends, or even herself.She greatly appreciates this connection with the artistic world, which she believes opens the door to new opportunities.This has gradually led her to be recognized on social media and to connect with Shakira, Candela Peña, Amaia, Najwa Nimri, Leticia Dolera, Karyn Parsons, Isabel Coixet, Buenafuente, etc.She has also appeared in the press, on television, and in radio programs.
