Once again, we are thrilled to announce the return of the OD Art Awards for its sixth edition, in collaboration with the magazine IbizArt Guide. Over the years, this event has continued to evolve, becoming a prominent fixture on Ibiza's cultural calendar. We remain committed to the island, and as such, this year's theme is particularly exciting for us.

As in previous editions, OD Group takes pride in presenting this themed competition, serving as a platform that promotes culture and sustainability through art. Past themes, such as the importance of Posidonia, responsible plastic usage, the value of music in times of crisis, the Balearic lizard 'sargantana,' and the vision of Ibiza in the year 2100, have been explored. This time, we are pleased to introduce 'Rondalles Eivissenques' as the central theme.

'Rondalles' are legendary tales or fables that constitute an essential part of our rich cultural heritage. Passed down from generation to generation, these stories capture the magical and enigmatic essence of the island.

In this edition, we anticipate a selection of freely interpreted artworks that encapsulate these fundamental legends that define Ibiza's identity. These fables connect contemporary inhabitants with their ancestors and the land they have inhabited for centuries.

Don't forget to mark these dates on your calendar: the vernissage will take place on Wednesday, September 29th at 7:30 PM, the exhibition will be available until October 13th, and the award ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 10th at 7:30 PM. All events will be hosted at the Hotel Ocean Drive Talamanca (Calle Jesús 28).

In this sixth edition of the OD Art Awards, we will, of course, present cash prizes for the first, second, and third places, as determined by a jury composed of Patricia Sorroche: Assistant Curator of Collection Exhibitions and Coordinator of Temporary Exhibition Registration at Barcelona's museum; Andres Perez: Head of Production, Registration, and Logistics of Exhibitions at ADN Galería and ADN Platform; Pablo Alcántara: Founder and CEO of Pauxa Films; Borja Moya Castillo: Cultural Technician at Consell de Formentera; Berta Pascual: Founder and Creative Director of &Berta Studio, and María Martín: Web Content Writer and Community Manager at IbizArt Guide, among others. Additionally, three prizes from the IbizArt Guide collective exhibition will be awarded, along with special recognitions such as the Digital Art/NFT Award, Emerging Artist Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
